A. Established
Lawns:
10 lbs. per 1,000 square feet. It is best to mow the lawn before
application. Lawn should be dry. Apply evenly with a spreader. Water
thoroughly immediately after application. For best growth, lawns should
be fertilized at least three times a year....Spring, Summer and Fall.
B. New Lawns:
20 lbs. per 1,000 square feet. Apply before planting. Work thoroughly
into the top 4 inches of soil and firm seed bed prior to planting.
C. Rose Bushes:
Small bushes apply 2 tablespoons, for large bushes apply 1/4 cup. Feed
two or three times during the growing season.
D. Flower Beds:
Before planting, apply 20 lbs. per 1,000 square feet and work into the
soil. After planting, broadcast 10 lbs. per 1,000 square feet every
eight weeks. Water thoroughly after each application.
E. Shrubs:
Three applications per year....Spring, Summer, and Fall. Apply 1/4 cup
on a two to three foot shrub. Apply more for larger shrubs and less for
smaller shrubs. Apply evenly around the shrubs and water thoroughly.
F. Trees:
Feed trees twice each year in the Spring and in the late Summer. Use 1/4
lb. for each inch of tree trunk diameter. Broadcast evenly beneath outer
branches and water thoroughly.
G. Vegetable
Gardens:
Before planting apply 20 lbs. per 1,000 square feet. Work into the top
four inches of soil.
Caution: Avoid
getting fertilizer on clothes, sidewalks, driveways, buildings, stones,
or stone structures. Fertilizer will cause discoloration and staining.
Sweep thoroughly before watering. |
